Information we collect

Depending on how you use Stoutify, we may process:

• Account information, such as your display name and sign-in details supplied by the authentication service.
• Location information when you choose Near Me, map or navigation features. Your browser or device asks for permission first.
• Check-ins and ratings, including the pub, pint rating, crowd level, price range, what is on, notes and submission time.
• Pint Snap content, including photographs, captions and the display name attached to a post.
• Saved pubs and preferences, which may be stored locally on your device.
• Technical information needed to operate, secure and diagnose the service, such as device, browser and basic usage information.

How we use information

We use information to provide Stoutify's features, show nearby pubs, calculate community ratings and live signals, display user submissions, remember saved pubs, prevent misuse, maintain security and improve reliability.

Location

Location access is optional. It is used only when you request a location-based feature. You can refuse or withdraw permission through your device or browser settings. Stoutify does not sell precise location data.

Walking routes are calculated by FOSSGIS / OSRM. Pub coordinates are sent to that provider when you view a route. If you start live walking directions, your current coordinates are also sent when calculating or recalculating the route to your next stop. The provider receives your IP address and may log route requests. Tracking ends when you stop walking or leave the route view. See the routing provider’s privacy information.

Public content

Ratings, check-ins, captions, display names and Pint Snap photographs may be visible to other users. Do not upload personal, confidential or unlawful content, or photographs you do not have permission to share.

Sharing and service providers

Information may be processed by hosting, storage, mapping, authentication and security providers that help operate Stoutify. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or the public.

Retention and security

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and prevent abuse. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can disable location permission, remove locally saved pubs and choose not to submit public content. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access to, correction of or deletion of personal data associated with you.

Children

Stoutify is intended for adults of legal drinking age and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Stoutify develops. The date at the top will be changed when a revised policy is published.
